I love soccer and it could be one of the reasons Crossbar is one of my favorite coffee shops in UWS. The coffee shop is a soccer-themed cafe with a unique collection of breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options. The cafe is kid friendly and they have a kids menu containing pastries and creative light bites that kids love. Crossbar is undoubtedly the place to go with the whole family. They’ve got free WiFi too.
At Artisan Cafe, I loved the fact that the atmosphere was conducive for relaxation. Coffee shops are sometimes reckoned to be places where people can come and relax but Artisan Cafe is in a class of its own. Aside from the relaxation angle, the coffee sold at Artisan Cafe is smooth and their pastries make for awesome combinations.

Solid State Cafe
Solid State Cafe offers classic thoughtfully sourced brews and light bites. It is an ideal coffee shop for studying and working. Solid State is one of the Upper West Side coffee shops with WiFi but it has limited seating and closes quite early. You’d have to make it there on time to have a space to sit. Their roasted beans are a delight and if you ever need to order something at the store, their iced latte is great.
At Gertrude, you can experience exceptional espresso beverages and freshly baked goods in a quaint, unpretentious setting. Most offerings are made in-house, including the highly recommended flourless chocolate cake with whipped cream, which offers the perfect balance of rich flavor and crumbly texture. A few seats are available by the windows for those who wish to savor their treats on-site.
Barachou Upper West Side
Barachou Upper West Side offers an environment where groups can come in to enjoy cups of coffee and one of its signature pastries, the Chou. The Chou is a small, sophisticated pastry filled with light and flavorful cream, topped with a sprinkle of sugar. There are other American and French pastries at Barachou and if you love your coffee with light bites, this is the coffee shop to go.

Blank Street Coffee has a reputation of making some of the finest decaf lattes in the neighborhood. Located four (4) minutes away from the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Blank Street Coffee is nicely designed and has a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Hungry Betty Cafe
Hungry Betty Cafe is located within a flower-filled trellis, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Their ham and cheese croissant is a must-try – it’s flaky and tender. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious breakfast, pastries, and iced coffee, visit Hungry Betty Cafe.
Mochi Dolci is more of a boba place. Their coffee is great but for me, the standout feature for this cafe is the whimsical and lovely atmosphere it has. Cozy seats, fine lighting, friendly service, and an amazing selection of pastries and teas makes Mochi Dolci a must visit. You can order from Mochi Dolci via Uber Eats.

Viand Coffee Shop
Viand Coffee Shop was originally established in the Upper East Side and recently expanded to the West Side. The offerings are pretty much the same in both locations. You can find a range of single-origin and blended coffees at this establishment, all of which have been carefully sourced and expertly roasted and brewed to order. In addition to their coffee selection, they also provide pastries and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.
Another one of my favorite coffee shops and arguably one of the great coffee shops for studying in the Upper West Side. It is a cozy cafe with a decent amount of seats for studying and reading.
