Sprig’s Coffee & Pastry Cafe

Sprig’s Coffee & Pastry Cafe

Sprig’s Coffee & Pastry Cafe features a unique set of pastries that’s not so common in the United States. They have a range of Mediterranean pastries that are thoroughly cooked and very sumptuous. I tried something called the baklava and it was delightful.

For coffee, Sprig’s sources Arabica coffee and finely brews them into a couple of amazing coffee blends. This is a coffee shop worth visiting whenever you find yourself in Alexandria VA.

Via Volcan Coffee

Via Volcan Coffee is another one of my favorite places to get coffee in Alexandria. This is because they grow their coffee beans in Panama. When I find coffee shops sourcing their beans from certain countries, I know it is going to be an adventure and Via Volcan Coffee does not disappoint.

They’ve got a lovely environment but it is small so you may have to order takeout during busy days as all available seating might have been taken.

Electric Cafe is one of the new coffee shops in Alexandria and you can expect everything to feel new and modern. It is highly rated among locals and there are two reasons why I feel this is so.

First, they’ve got a lovely outdoor patio – beautiful chairs, tables, and umbrellas. Secondly, they serve very delicious baguette sandwiches. I’d recommend this cafe as a place to relax, enjoy the company of friends, or kickstart your day with a caffeine boost and light chops.

The staff here is very friendly and the baristas well-skilled.

One good thing about the Buzz coffee shop in Alexandria, VA is that as a bakery, their pastries are simply top-notch. The only issue I’ve got with them is that there is almost nothing for gluten-free folks.
