How to make pumpkin cream cold foam?

This section is where all the wonders happen. When you do it right, which is simple, your results will be excellent.

The cold foam involves mixing vanilla sweet cream and pumpkin spicy sauce.

However, in this recipe, I will show you how to make pumpkin cold foam straight away.

Actually, you won’t need to prepare ingredients in batches.

Ingredients needed and modifications

As you know, I will not use everything on the Starbucks official menu. I will skip some ingredients like preservatives and coloring substances.

The ingredients I am using are as follows.

  • Milk
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Pumpkin spices
  • Pumpkin puree
  • Vanilla extract
  • Whipping cream

Milk

When making cold foam, Starbucks usually uses 2% milk. It’s low-fat milk which is fantastic for ensuring easy frothing. Also, the low fat ensures fewer calories.

Reducing fat means milk has more protein, which improves the size of bubbles during the foaming process.

For vegan, you can use any milk, whether oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, or coconut milk, and it is perfect.

Sweetened condensed milk

Sweetened condensed milk is one of the substitutes for food coloring substances. Since it has a brownish appearance, it is a perfect option.

If you don’t have condensed milk, you can use plain milk, and the results will still be good.

Pumpkin spices

Spices are essential for enhancing flavor. Using homemade spices ensures you add nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger. However, using the Starbucks spice blend is straightforward and ready to use.

Pumpkin puree

There is a ready canned pumpkin puree from Starbucks and other stores. However, making pumpkin puree is an easy task, like eating a piece of cake.

You can make pumpkin puree and refrigerate whether it’s from leftovers, pumpkin leftovers, or canned ones.

Vanilla extract

Vanilla extract provides the flavor that vanilla cream provides in Starbucks cold foam. Using plain vanilla extract flavor is alright, but it’s also a viable option if you have vanilla sweet cream.

Whipping cream

Adding whipping cream is essential since it enables the mixture to foam well. Since it has more proteins, there are big bubbles that ensure your foam forms faster.

Cold foam making process

Since you have ingredients ready, it’s time to make the magic happen. To ensures your cold form comes out beyond your expectations,

  • Step 1

Take your whipping cream, condensed milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and other ingredients and pour them into a jar.

  • Step 2

Ensure the content isn’t war. You can achieve this by refrigerating the jar containing the mixture for around 30 minutes. Freezing the mixture will help the heavy cream break quickly, increasing the texture and reducing the whipping time.

  • Step 3

Froth your mixture using a handheld frother or vigorously shaking.

If you want a thin fine content, shaking the jar vigorously is enough and will still offer great cold foam.

However, a handheld electric frother is perfect for a thinner and super fine cold foam. It produces super smooth and consistent cold foam.

Besides using a milk frother, you can also use a blender and whip the content for around 45 seconds. Whipping for a long time can make the cold foam warm hence affecting the quality.

How to store pumpkin cold foam

Once you prepare your cold foam, sometimes it’s not possible to use all of it. If this is the case, or not using the cold foam right away, ensure you put it in an airtight jar and refrigerate.

When the cold foam is ready to use, you can remove it from the fridge and froth again.

Pumpkin cold foam serving suggestion

The pumpkin cold foam is excellently served with cold drinks. One of the drinks is an iced chai latte with pumpkin cold foam.

Also, iced coffee with pumpkin cold foam is a great drink. Amazingly, you can also try topping white Mocha with cold foam.

Apart from the available servings on the Starbucks menu, you can also customize a cold drink and top it with this cold foam.

Pumpkin spice toppings at Starbucks are seasonal. Therefore, you can only enjoy pumpkin spiced drinks from around august.
